Government corruption has steadily increased over the past few decades.It used to be a 3rd world problem but the so called 1st world is just as infected, especially in the higher circles of the spigots of power and finance. It is a broken system that has wasted untold amounts of resources, caused husg amount of suffering to the citizens.
Accountability while sounding good, cannot be really forced into government. Its become an oxymoron. We need Blind Trust Systems like Nillion to bring accountability and efficiency into Government and all its tentacles.
